King in the North Pod

Super Wild Card Weekend is over, and the Packers and Lions are still standing!  The Packers boat raced Mike McCarthy and the Dallas Cowboys, and that was followed up with the Lions winning their first playoff game in over 30 years!  Heading into the Divisional Round, the Packers kick it off first heading into Santa Clara to face off against their playoff boogeyman, the 49ers.  On the other side, the Lions host another playoff game against the Buccaneers thanks to the Packers beating the #2 seeded Cowboys.  And we finish up with some news and notes from the Vikings and Bears.

The guys recap Week 18 and look back on the season that was before we gear up for the Lions and Packers both entering the playoffs.  Afterwards, the gang goes over their playoff brackets to kick off Super Wild Card Weekend.  P.S. Peep the new Pod Logo

Hello and welcome to 2024!  We hope everyone had a great New Years and is ready for the regular season finale.  Lions got Dicked Down in Dallas, Bears secured the #1 overall pick on top of their victory, and Jordan Love rang in the new year with his signature performance.  We head into the final week of the regular season with the Lions just trying to remain healthy against the Vikings, and the Bears trying to spoil the Packers' "win and in" scenario at Lambeau.

We have a new King in the North!  Congratulations to the Detroit Lions on winning their first ever NFC North title, and their first division title in 30 years!  We start with a slurp fest of the Lions and follow it up with a recap of the rest of the division.  We also tackle the upcoming week as well as go into what NFC North gifts we received for Christmas.  We hope you enjoyed the holidays and wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Apologies for the lateness, but we have our Week 15 Recap and Week 16 Preview out.  John was dealing with triple digit fever, so he was out of commission for this one.  Happy Holidays everyone!

All in all, a poor display of football from the division this past week, and we go over all of it.  Massive playoff race implications for the Pod as we head down the final stretch here.  Packers look to bounce back after an awful showing in NY, the Vikings will try and find an answer at QB, the Lions hope to regain their previous form, and the Bears will try and defeat Joe Flacco in the year 2023.

After a brief hiatus, we are BACK with a recap and preview pod for you guys!  Riley returns from his visit to Lambeau, Tom and the Lions vanquish the entire NFC South, and John and Grant come off the bye fresh and ready for Week 13.  The Vikings' Prodigal Son, Justin Jefferson, returns to the lineup this week in a tilt against the Raiders.  The Packers have yet another primetime matchup on Monday Night Football against Tommy "Gabagool" DeVito and the Giants, and the Lions and Bears faceoff in a December date at Soldier Field.

Post-Thanksgiving recap is here.  It was an all-NFC North affair this week with the Lions hosting the Packers for Thanksgiving, and the Bears traveling to Minnesota to play the Vikings.  We're starting to get to the point of the season where playoff scenarios are coming into play, and this week threw some spice into said scenarios. 

Gobble gobble everyone!  We have a twofer heading into Thanksgiving this week.  The Packers seem to have some life on offense, the Bears snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against the Lions, and the Vikings fumbled away their tilt on Sunday Night Football.  We have a pure NFC North slate this week with the Packers @ Lions on Turkey Day, and the Bears @ Vikings.  

Splice Splice Baby.  We've got the Week 10 recap and Week 11 preview, recorded on different days, homogenized for you ahead of this week's slate. The entire division saw themselves in one score games, with Riley being the lone loser of the bunch.  The Lions were in a thriller, the Josh Dobbs hype train kept on rolling for the Vikings, and the Bears managed to not compromise their draft stock.  The week ahead has the Packers hosting a Nooner, Vikings in the SNF primetime slot, and the division matchup between Da Bears and the Lions.
